Will works in the fields of forest health and forests for human health. He has particular interest in forest biodiversity, the role of forests in climate change and the way forests improve human wellbeing.
Before joining WWF in 2014, Will led a research project on community forest management and its interaction with traditional cultural values in Malawi.
And before that Will spent 5 years working at the heart of the UK government advising on international policy on forests, environment and the Sustainable Development Goals for Defra and then the Cabinet Office.
Will has a BSC in Environmental Science and an MProf in Leadership for Sustainable Development.
