Our Partnerships

CHSS staff work with a wide range of organisations. Our partnerships with providers and health and social care services and policy makers are an essential part of our research work. As an applied research centre we value close working partnerships with those developing and delivering health and social care services to our local community and the public regionally, nationally and internationally.

We are part of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex and also the NIHR Research Design Service South East. We have formal research collaborations with Kent County Council  and Medway Borough Council. We also work closely with Kent and Medway CCG to support primary care research. Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) support applied health and care research that responds to, and meets, the needs of local populations and local health and care systems.

Research Design Service South East

The RDS offers an accessible, confidential service to new and experienced research teams, providing tailored support and guidance from initial idea through to final application.

Kent Research Partnership

Kent Research Partnership is co-led by University of Kent and Kent County Council, and aims to develop a culture of research as well as evidence-based practice and innovation in Adult Social Care in Kent.
