A Community of Experience for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector

The Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey Sussex (ARC KSS) is pleased to be hosting a Community of Experience for the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.

This free event will take place on-line on Thursday 31 March from 1pm – 2:30pm. The link to the Eventbrite can be found here.

This initial meeting will focus on the CAVEAT research project which is led by a team of researchers from across Kent Surrey and Sussex.  CAVEAT aims to co-develop and test a set of guidelines and resources (a ‘toolkit’) to support VCSE organisations in collecting data and demonstrating their activity and impact.  This is primarily aimed at those organisations providing services to support the well-being of older people living at home.

The event will be of interest to VCSE organisations, volunteers, commissioners, health and care practitioners and, of course, those in receipt of services and their families or carers.

Why a Community of Experience for the VCSE sector?

Research carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the important contribution that the VCSE sector has played in supporting the wider health and care system.  Moving forward, it is important that these strong partnerships continue, and the sector is embedded into our Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) as a strategic partner helping to shape, improve and deliver services.

The ARC KSS Community of Experience aims to support this ambition and improve outcomes for service users and volunteers, through sharing experience and the development and implementation of research to support evidence-based practice.
