Maurice Bartlett, who signed himself ‘MB’, was a topical cartoonist whose style was apparently influenced by Quentin Blake and Timothy Birdsall.
By 1959 Bartlett was working for the Spectator, alongside Quentin Blake. He seems to have been related to the journalist and broadcaster Vernon Bartlett, whose 1971 book Tuscan Harvest he illustrated.
