Helen is an expert in participatory research, public engagement, and theatre and gender history. As COI on the AHRC Gateways Centre for public engagement with the First World War she designed and led 54 engagement events and public collaborations, including lectureconcerts and exhibitions. As PI on the Great War Theatre project, she recruited, trained and co-produced research with over 250 nationwide public volunteers. She co-designed the Special Collections & Archives internship programme in 2019. She has designed and taught the modules, Sex, Gender, and Performance, and Victorian and Edwardian Theatre.
