We have conducted molecular dynamics simulations of 3.7nm diameter gold nanoparticles coated in polyethylene glycol-based ligands of different lengths to emulate radiosensetising nanoparticles within a cell medium. We conduct atomisitic-level analysis of the coating structure to evaluate the radiosensitising effectiveness of a particular nanoparticle system based on the proximity of water to the metal core.

The paper can be downloaded here.

Getting my first paper published is a very satisfying feeling; it is the culmination of months of work and seeing it published is very validating.
