This particle is spherical because its precursor particle entered the Earth\u2019s atmosphere at speeds of several kilometre per second, resulting in it heating up in a matter of seconds to extremely high temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>This search was conducted by Drs <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/astrophysics-and-planetary-science\/person\/matthias-van-ginneken\/\">Matthias van Ginneken<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/1322\/wozniakiewicz-penny\">Penny Wozniakiewicz<\/a>.
