Andrew Burton

Completed MSc Student (2022)
Title: Investigating the Connection between Masers and Star Formation

About

Andrew completed his BSc in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Kent (2017-2020) and after
particularly enjoying the space science topics of the course, decided to take on an MSC research project in Exploring
High-Mass star formation within dense clump using astrophysical masers under the supervision of Dr James Urquhart.

Research interests

Research interests include exploring the sites of water and methanol masers in dense clumps, high mass star formation and dissection of infrared and radio wavelength emission within star forming clumps to attain information about local environments.
