The Beacon Observatory - University of Kent, Saturday 1st October 2022 from 19:00pm to 22:00pm
Join the team from Beacon Observatory, who will mark NASA’s International Observe The Moon Night 2022 with a presentation at the University Kent Grimond Building (Lecture Theatre 3) before adjourning to the adjacent Beacon Observatory for an observing session if weather permits.
This event will go ahead regardless of weather and opens with a talk from Professor Mark Burchell titled “Impact Moon”. IMPORTANT: Please arrive at the Grimond building entrance no earlier than 18:50 and wait outside to be escorted in by a Beacon Astronomy Group team member. Do not enter the building on your own or unescorted.
There is no admission fee and no prior booking required; however, please use the RSVP feature on Facebook (if you have a Facebook account) to let the team know whether you will be coming. Everyone is welcome.
