The Centre for Astrophysics and Planetary Science is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Igor Novikov as an Honorary Academic in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Dr Igor Novikov is a theoretical astrophysicist with wide-ranging interests from planetary nebula to quasar environments. He is presently associated with the Millimetron Space Observatory project at the Astro Space Center within the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This position will facilitate rapid progress with computer simulations and the sharing of data to help explain enigmatic phenomena of objects near the edge of our observable Universe. Igor obtained his Bachelors, Euromasters and Doctorate from the University of Kent.
