Micha\u00ebl was one of the 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/applied-optics\/research\/european-industrial-doctorate\/\">UBAPHODESA<\/a> PhD students. He has worked initially in Kent,\u00a0in the experimental testing of dispersion tolerance of the<a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/applied-optics\/research\/master-slave-oct\/\">\u00a0Master-Slave technique.<\/a> Following his move to Copenhagen for the second half of his PhD project, he developed work on using supercontinuum generation at NKT and at DTU Prof Ole Bang\u2019s group, co-authoring a number of papers along the way, on ultra-high resolution OCT, dispersion studies and the development of low-cost sources.<\/p>\n<p>We wish Micha\u00ebl all every success for the next step of his career!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to (now-Dr) Micha\u00ebl Maria for successfully passing his viva-voce examination this Tuesday (April 24th)!
