We were pleased to welcome someone\u00a0with such an\u00a0impressive history of translating\u00a0research to industry and the clinic (which can be seen here<\/a>); this\u00a0is an example\u00a0for the AOG to follow.<\/p>\n

During his visit, he gave a talk to\u00a0the group on\u00a0\u201cImaging biomarkers in heart disease<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 This\u00a0provided us with\u00a0a fascinating insight into the need\u00a0for new tools to support cardiac\u00a0interventions, and suggested a number of possible applications\u00a0of our work to cardiology. Following the talk, Prof Rhode was given a\u00a0tour of the AOG labs, seeing some of our optical\u00a0imaging\u00a0systems in action. With the potential fo collaboration firmly established, we are now looking forward\u00a0to more reciprocal visits and interactions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
