Vice-Chancellor’s visit

The Vice Chancellor

On 21st June 2018, we welcomed Professor Karen Cox, University of Kent Vice-Chancellor, to the Photonics Centre.

Head of Group Prof. Adrian Podoleanu gave an overview of the past and current research activities within the AOG, and members of the group gave short presentations on the progress of their own current research projects, in areas including OCTA, photo-acoustics, endomicroscopy, and REBOT.

Professor Cox was given a tour of the AOG labs and saw live demonstrations of the capabilities of some of our imaging instruments. This included live imaging of the cornea and retina with our Master Slave enhanced OCT.

We hope that we managed to successfully demonstrate the huge potential of our technology to be translated into clinical practice. We are looking forward to welcoming Prof. Cox back to our labs soon!
